The York General Auxiliary is a non-profit organization of volunteers that has been serving the York, NE community since 1957. The Auxiliary's goal is to enhance both patient and resident care, and help bring the community the best in medical technology through fundraising and volunteer services.

 

The York General Auxiliary is committed to supporting York General’s mission of providing the highest quality medical services in warm, personalized settings. Auxiliary members proudly serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the community.
 
How we make a difference. 
Auxiliary members work hard to promote York General through increased community awareness and vital fundraising initiatives. We organize large and small fundraising events, help with shopping expeditions for residents of the Hearthstone, and provide Christmas ornaments for Cancer survivors yearly, in addition to other activities. 

How we work with the community. 
The Auxiliary increases community awareness of York General services through local events, newsletters, media announcements and communications with friends, neighbors, and colleagues. We always welcome new ideas for involvement. 
 
How we make it all happen. 
Annual fundraising events sponsored by the Auxiliary include the  Auxiliary Golf Tournament the Holiday Fare, and Jewelry parties.    

Recent contributions have allowed the York General Auxiliary to:

• Purchase wireless fetal monitoring equipment for the York General Obstetrics Department

• Purchase equipment for the Emergency Department

• Purchase a procedure bed for the Oncology Department 

• Purchase Christmas gifts for the residents of our skilled nursing facility, York General Hearthstone
