Eat Drink and Be Irish!

The York General Auxiliary is hosting a casual “Eat Drink and Be Irish!” event on March 17th at the Cornerstone Ag and Event Center. The event is open to anyone who would like to enjoy a fun night and learn more about the Auxiliary. Appetizers and cash bar will be provided along with great entertainment. Our goal is to provide a fun event for our community while helping raise funds for the “Stop the Bleed” campaign*.

What is a mouse race?

They function similar to horse races. We start the evening with a Calcutta where eight mice will be auctioned off individually to the highest bidder. They earn points based upon the performance in eight races.

**The 'Stop the Bleed' campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council Staff, The White House. The purpose of the campaign is to build national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters. Advances made by military medicine and research in hemorrhage control during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have informed the work of this initiative which exemplifies translation of knowledge back to the homeland to the benefit of the general public.
